We are working on this project since March 2009, and we have a great passion working on it, because the owner gives imaji studio a huge chance to design this church with our idealism.

Located in Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia, The owner, Indonesia Revival Church ( IRC ), has a great ambition realizing it. Although the church itself is quite new, We are among the people who witnessed the forming of IRC, and we are very honoured to give our hands on it.

The church is a four-storey building, completed with facilities such as library, doctor clinic, sunday school facility, convention hall, and assembly hall.

This building is placed in not a very proper site, and we admit that we experienced some dfficulities designing it. The architectural concept as well as the structural system must be carefully designed, because of the land condition and building surrounding it.

This Church is located on a 4000 square meter area, with a L shape site. This is very challenging for us, because we have to design spaces in narrow area.

We implemented one concept that is finally agreed. The concept is to lift such part of the building (which is the assembly hall, located in front) for about 9 meters from the ground. This concept creates a flying visualization, match with the church idea of lifting people to God.

We are using geometrical shapes, so that the building will look majestic, stand still, but dynamic in the same time.
